Samantha Stellar is a Swiss-British artist, born and raised in Switzerland. Her guitar-maker father introduced her to the Arts from a young age, and she hasn't stopped expressing herself that way since. She studied Fine Art at Central St Martins in London where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in painting in 2006. She has since relocated to the high desert of Sedona in Arizona, USA.
Her work has developed over the years from drawing intricate and organic shapes, mixing abstract with figurative figures, using mixed media, to more recently, focusing primarily on the female form, flora, fauna and iconography, using watercolor. Samantha is fascinated by one's internal world, psychology, spirituality, and what makes people divert from their own divinity in search of modern icons. Having recently experienced a spiritual awakening, her paintings have become a reflection of her internal transformation.
